MEETING AT TKKNTHAM. GOOD SHOOTING. -.TIIBNTHAM, March 19. The weather this morning was fine with passing clouds making the light variable, and a. faint breeze from the left at times stirred the (lags, hut many men found it unnecessary to make any allowance. A start was made with the first match of the Belt series. Marlborough 10 shots each at 300 and 500 yards and the shooting was very warm at the first range, several possibles being rung on, including Simmonds, Hogg, Connor, McLean. Fortynines were numerous. Going back to the longer range the scoring was still warm and among the first finishers were Connor (Qkawa) who just missed the possible. He got up with a match total of 99, out of 100, and is unlikely to be beaten. F. Whiteman, Suburbs, put on 50-18—98. James Napier T9-4S 97. Barristow J. C. Carter. also 97, while 96’s were plentiful, mclubing Simmonds, Croxton, King, Reckie (Tyros), Hood, H. Cromie (who finished with a possible), Harris, Orsborne, Nix. It is doubtful if less will get into a grndo prize list,
