Its opposition to Lord Burney’s scheme does not mean scrapping the Empire air line. It is understood an alternative scheme is at present being prepared and when completed is likely to he submitted together with the Burney scheme for the free vote of parliament. Mr dynes explained that owing to the very stringent financial business the Got eminent did not piopose to take any legislation before the second reading of the Consolidated Fund Dili •on the 20th. of March, except the Local Authorities Emergency Provisions Bill.
