The Chief Engineer of the Public "Works Department is to pay a visit to the district on account of the Alinister (Air T. G. Coates) not being able to come. The Resident Engineer says the damage on the railway works will put them back three months. There is a mile of embankment washed out and it will require thirty- thousand yards ol material to refill it. Preliminary arrangements for re-commencing the work have already been made.
