FRIDAY, MARCH I I. Thi> Board met at 4.311 l>-m. l>re " seat:—Messrs 0. A. Wood (.Chairman), |,|C,vd, Nightingale, Houston and Ziegler. An apology was made for the absence of -Mr Bruce. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. Front Statistician, acknowledging receipt of returns.--Received. From -Marine Underwriters, forwarding register.—Deceived. The Signalman reported the channel was northwest with lift of water and that he was undertaking flagstaff repairs.—Received. Accounts amounting to £331 l'-s were passed for payment, a charge of C 7 18s towards compiling roll by the Borough Council being referred back for enquiry. An offer was received from (>. Adamson and 0. Williams to repair the lower shod (labor only) for £-■>■ The offer was accepted. The Chairman reported he was visiti„,r the British Exhibition, leaving next week. Mr Lloyd moved that the Chairman he granted six months leave of absence. —Seconded by Air Houston and carried. Mr M. Houston was appointed acting Chairman during his absence. The Board then rose.
