The medal is similar to the original medal, except that the face of King George replaces that of Queen Victoria on the obverse while on the reverse appears the figure of victory rising from a. throne holding a horn in the left hand and in the act of crowning with a wreath o! laurels a warrior holding a how in his right hand and on his left arm hearing a shield transfixed in the centre by three arrows. The ribbon has a red centre with black borders, and down each border a white stripe. It is worn with war medals.
