Cotton - Growing. Groat Britain is making: vigorous efforts to promote the production of cotton within the Empire. She is said to bo ambitious to be self-contained in the matter of her cotton supply. The British Empire Cotton Growers Association has been organised to encourage the cultivation of cotton in Africa. India, Australia and the West Indies, i he cotton planters of Brazil are being urged to tty to produce more cotton.
