APPEALS AND PROSECUTIONS C'HRISTCirCHCM. March 11. At tlie meeting of the Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association today. a letter was received from G. lies asking if Willie Lincoln was taken possession of by the police on the advice of the Association, in which ease, if the ease against Capes was proved, both Young and himself (lies) repudiated the debts incurred for the horse’s feeding during its detention. The Board decided to reply that, until the Court ease was concluded, it would not discuss the matter. W. Cameron wrote that it was his intention to appeal against the Board’s deeison in the Kingsdale ease. The Chairman said there was no appeal against the Boards' decision, hut he would like to go into the matter again. James Bryce, ,Senior, asked that his sou he allowed to work round the stable during the latter’s suspension. The application was refused. The Secretary of the New Zealand Racing Conference, in reply to a request from the Board, regarding its

Prince Berlin. Saleombe. Schnapps. Tradesman. Treasure Seeker. Play Boy. They stated that they could be inspected at any time. It, was resolved that the Association’s representative inspect all these horses, with the exception of Schnapps, at the earliest opportunity. Schnapps having been identified by the Secretary of the Ashburton Trotting (lot). Further declarations were also received as to the deaths of Over-rate. Maorilaud, Bribery. Fade and .loan ol Are. Several other communications regaining the disposal of horses were held over for further enquiry. KINGSDALE CASE. Jt U as resolved that the Gore Racing Club be instructed to pay the stakes to the second, third and fourth horses m the Balfour Trot, and that the question of the costs of the Kingsdale enquiry he held over. not be disqualified lor corrupt practices. W. G. Garrard is to be .summoned to appear before the next meeting ol the Hoard, with a view to eliciting certain information.
