[BY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] A JOCKEY KII7I.ED. AUCKLAND, March 10. At the Matamata races on Saturday two horses fell in the Ilimira Handicap. Eruha, ridden by (.!. Holland fell and Sphinx, ridden by Stonnill, fell over Eruba. Both were seiiously injured and taken to the hospital where Stonnill died. Holland is reported to lie making satisfactory progress. Sphiuz, owned by C. Allen, had his back broken and was destroyed. A RE-TRIAL. CHRISTCHURCH, March 10 Frank Victor Herbert Cottll, formerly an ollieer of the Repatriation Department. Wellington, appeared at the Supreme Court oil charges of forgery and conspiracy in connection with repatriation loans. The case has been moved from Wellington for retrial. Mr Maeassey for the Crown and Mr J. Findlay for accused. The hearing may last three days. METHODIST STATIONS. CHRISTCHURCH, March 10 Additions to the linal draft to Methodist stations are E. ABORTION CHARGES, DUNEDIN, Match 10. Two men, the publication of whose names meantime has been prohibited, were charged at. the Police Court, one with counselling or procuring another to commit abortion, and the other with unlawfully tiding an instrument to procure abortion.
