SECOND TEST. OPENING DELAYED. [uv TELEGRAPH — PKIt ritBSS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, March 7. Alter Macartney and Smith had iit•speeled the wicket, which was in a had state, as the result of yesterday’s heavy rain, it was decided to postpone play in the second test match until 2 o’clock. A further inspection of the wicket will be made at 1.15. The weather conditions were ideal lor cricket up till 11 o'clock. when tho skies clouded over again, making the prospects uncertain.
