The constitution provides that the elections must he held within sixty days of the dissolution. Government appears to have come to a belated conclusion that there is no other way out of the ilt-ailloek. Therefore there is no alternative hut to submit the amendments to the vote w hich tieeessai ilv involves a general election al a time when socialists chances are at a low ebb.
