Air Jules Mnlfruy was admitted nt Wellington oil Saturday as a barrister and solictor of the Supreme Court. The pictures of the Grey Jockey Club’s New Year Day’s meeting, •screened at the Princess Theatre last evening, introduced quite a number of local sports—the Grey Committee, the Club’s veteran, the presentation of tho Greymonth Cup to Mr. W. Jeffries, and many snapshots in which patrons were easily recognisable, were features. One Revell Street trader had n particularly genial smile which the cameraman got very successfully. Tonight the picture of the Grey Trotting dub’s meeting will be screened.
The marriage took place on Tuesday morning at the residence of Air W. Campbell, Dawson St., Reefton. when Miss Isabel Darcy, second daughter of the late W. Darcy, of Reefton. was married to Al> James Ratlibon. of Reefton. The Rev. Afr Charteris performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away l>y Mr Campbell, was smartly a Hired in a mole three-piece costume with mole hat lined with almond green and mole marabout, to match. After the ceremony which was attend by immediate relatives. the wedding guests were entertained at breakfast, and tho newly-married couple left by motor for an extended honeymoon trip to Nelson, Wellington and Rotorua.

On Saturday afternoon, opening at 2 o’clock, a number of young ladies will bold a sale of produce and home cookery in the shop, lieveil Street, next door to Mrs Long’s, in aid of the Second Hokitika Scouts’ and Cubs’ fund. There will be a good display of useful articles and any donations of produce, etc., will be gladly received. A call is requested to help on the movement.—Advt.
For tile Bowling Club’s gala day on Saturday week quite a number of donations are being received, and the gathering promises to be as attractive as in former years. Tile ladies committee will have a produce stall and will be glad to receive donations of any kind. The golf putting competition promises to lie again an interesting feature, while a streets stall and afternoon tea will provide welcome additions.

The West land County deputation waited on Ministerial heads at Wellington yesterday in regard to several district "matters. Last evening Mr. Duff.
