LONDON, February 15. “This is really a fine building. AAhat a great advantage it "ill be to Australia.” The manager of the Australian section of the Empire Exhibition, Captain Smart, who was busily working at the Australian pavilion at Wembley, this afternoon looked up from his task, and was amazed to find that the speaker was the King. Not only Captain Smart, but all the officials present were taken completely aback. ......
The King announced bis intention ot walking round and seeing for himself wbal progress had been made. His Majesty closely questioned Captain Smart, as to the place of origin of the exhibits, and added. “I’m deeply interested, because I know Australia so well. I hope the dock strike "in not interfere with you. ■‘Australia has done remarkably well to make such progress in the adverse circumstances created bv the weathei an! labour troubles.
