[I)Y TKLEGItA Pit —I’EK fit ESS ASSOCIATION.] THE ORANGORONGO TUNNEL. WELLINGTON, Fob. 25. Work in connection with the piercing of the Organgorottgo tunnel has been carried out by a co-operative party under the leadership of Mr Robert Semple and the boring has been proceeding two years and five months, during the last 17 months of which the piercing lias been going on from both ends simultaneously. Had it been possible to bore from both mills from the commencement of the work the estimated distance of two miles would have been cut through in two vears.
