Thus tho Eastman Kodak C’o. employs 46 chemists, physicists, and photographic experts, with GO assistants. Another firm, du Rent and tie Nemours Go., has 200 graduate chemists and engineers, while tlie Western Electric Co. possesses upwards of 800 men of science and some “50 daughtsmeu. Altogether 52G firms are returned as employing expert research staffs.
A hearty laugh was heard in the Gisborne Court on Monday morning during the hearing of a ease in which a Maori was charged with being ail idle and disorderly person (relates the
