Mr Hide A. Osmers (son of Mr 11. Osmers of Ross), who has qualified for his M.A. degree with first-class honours in economics, has been pursuing rosarches into the gold production on the West Coast. Mr Osmers will be senior student at College House, Christchurch during the coming year.
Mr O’Brien M.P., left for Wellington on Saturday. He will lie joined at the Empire City on Wednesday by Hon J UrimmontT, and Mr T. W. Duff, County Chairman, when Westland County matters relating to flood damage repairs and attention to Ross road Midges, will be the principal matters for attention.
