EXHIBITION SALE.
(To file Editor). Sir, —Now that the realisation sale of tl e Exhibition property lias been held, I desire to publicly enter a protest that the Auction Sale should have been given solely to one firm of Auctioneers, mil! as one of the guarantors I consider that such a large sale should have been placed conjointly with the two local firms, more especially as the Exhibition was practically a public affair. 1 may say that I am the only ratepayer in Camp St., and freely gave my consent to the closing of this Street for the erection of the Exhibi-t;'-n buildings and have put up with a great deal of inconvenience thereby, and further, gave the Executive the sde- use of one of my large stores during the term of the Exhibition at a nominal charge only, so that surely I should have been given a little consideration. Many other guarantors have alii- commented upon the matter.— T am etc.. AL HOFSTON. Auctioneer.
