Lord Parmoor, in tho House of Lords, said that the Government was introducing a Criminal Justice Bill, under which the penalty for being drunk while driving a motor car would be a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months, or a tine not exceeding £3O.
CREEK REPUBLIC. ATHENS, Feb. 19. As the result of a long debate in the Assembly it seems certain that a republic will he proclaimed in the near future. Since .At. Ycnizelos retired, there has been a swing to the republican outlook. Unless it is quickly proclaimed, the Assembly will vote for the establishment of a republic without awaiting a plebiscite. Another reason for this action is the belief that the Boy a lists are planning a fresh coup d’etat.
