The elections for the Diet in Mecklenburg; and Schwerin resulted in a. great transfer ot force to the Extreme Bight, which is coining to the top. Similar results in Thuringia and Luheck unmistakably indicate the Way political thoughts are moving at present. Oermany will soon hold the general elections and unless something happens meantime to influence the vote powerfully in the opposite direction, the strongest bine in the new Reichstag "ill he the Nationalist. This recovery of Nationalist feeling represents a renewal of the real German spirit which has been inarticulate for the past five years. For the first time the Allies may he faced with the, Germany which caused the war. This Germany did not sign the I roaty of Versailles, and lias done its best to prevent the Treaty’s fulfillment, hut if it dominates the next Reichstag it will have to bear the responsibility for its actions.
