GERMANY'S DEBT'S TO BRITAIN
LONDON. February 18. Asked in the House of Commons
whether the Government favoured demanding the payment of reparations from Germany, Mr Ramsay MacDonald replied in the affirmative.

AL Poincare is placing the Dixmudo Airship Disaster Inquiry Committee report before the Cabinet. It is understood that it implicated some high Naval officials.
CHINESE IN NAURU. LONDON February 18
In the House of Commons, Air J. H. Thomas (Colonial Secretary) replying ?n a question said that no Chinese contract labour is being imported into Nauru, but Chinese labourers are going there voluntarily. They invariably sought three year agreements though these were not compulosry. The Chin--o*3 labourers were allowed complete freedom of movement in the daytime, hut in the interests of the natives the Chinese were confined ill their settlemints during tlie night time.
