WEDDING BELLS

JAMES—CUTTANCE. The marriage was solemnised at the residence of Mr N. Harris, Kokatahi, on M'ednexday last February till), of Mr Eric K James, of Hokitika (son of Mr and Mrs Edward James, of Ealing, London), to Miss Edith Gertrude Cuttauce, sixth daughter of Mr and Mrs J. CuUancc, of Okuru, South M'estland. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr I). J. Cuttance, looked charming in a frock of pale crope-de-ehine, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid Miss It. Cuttance, sister of the bride, was becomingly attired in a mauve organdie costume with hat to match. Mr Andrew Nolan acted as best mail.

Among those present were Mrs J. Cuttance (mother of the braky and the following relatives: Mr and Mrs N. Harris. Mrs A. Nolan, Mrs J. Harris. Mr and Mrs D. ,J. Cuttance, Misses M. and 11. N. Haris, and many young nieces and nephews of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr Kennedy. Subsequently the guests were all entertained at a dainty spread by Mr and Mrs Harris, and the toast: of the happy couple teas proposed by the Rev Dr Kennedy, who extended to them the best wishes of all present for their wedded happiness and prosjperity. 'Hie bridegroom suitably responded. The happy couple subsequently left for Greymouth, Christchurch and M'ollingfon on their honeymoon. They were the recipients of numerous presents, both valuable and useful.
