ADDINGTON STORK MARKET (By Telegraph.—Special io Guardian.) CM IMKTCH UKCH, ThD Day. .Messrs 11. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Ad diugton yards yesterday: Store sheep.—Another very large yarding, lambs again predominating, although ewes were more n evidence than at the last tew sales. The sale was a good one throughout, Cood forward lambs, til for rape, selling especially well. Any good sorts of ewes, as well as forward or fresh conditioned wethers, were also in good demand, but half-bred tussock lambs were not so good. Consignments fiom the North Island as well as the Clmthams also came forward. Best 2-tooth halfbred ev.es made io 42s (id, others 30s to Ibis Del. -!. 0 and 8-tooth three-quar-ter bred ewes 27s 7d to Sis (id. f.m. ditto !)s to 25s Ski, aged and inferioi 8s (id to !.*>s. best wethers 25s to 26s 9d. others 22s io 245. best tape lambs 22s to 255, medium Ills to 21s Oil. others 14s to 18s Gd,
Store cattle.—A fairly large yarding. being mostly tows. Only two or three decent lines of steers were yarded, and the demand for all classes was very dull. Three and 1-yr. steers made up to £5 10s. 2 anil 3-yr. ditto £2 15s to £4 ss. No quotable lines of young cattle were offered. Cows made 15s to 455.
Fat pigs—A medium entry came forward and the demand for pork was keen amt haveners sold firmly at late rates. Eight porkers made £2 7s Lo C2 ED. heavy £2 18s to £3 ss, average price Sd to 8 id. Eight baeoners £3 ids to £4. heavy £1 5s to £1 10s. extra heavy to £5, average price (id to Old. Choppers made £2 Gs to £4. Store pigs—Only a medium entry came' forward, and the demand was n ., t vev keen. Weanors it ade 15s to ISs. extra good to 225. small stores 18s to 265. medium 23s to 365. There were no large stores ottering. Coer —Another large yarding, being about 500 head. The quality generally, with the exception of two or three outstanding lots, was not up to the average The entry included one oonKirnmcnt from the North Island, and a few from the south., but the market showed little if any difference from the kmc sale. Prime steers mad.' £ll in £l4 15s. extra to £ls 13*. £9 to £ll ss, others down to £O. V™ic heifers £6 5s to £8 10s. mod, urn 14 to £6. others down to £3 ss. prune eons £G to £B. extra to £lO 7s. medium £4 to £5 10s. others down to £- s>. Mutton—Another large mostly ewes, and the quality taken all round was the most indifferent no have seen for some time. There u ere not many good wethers and tno freezing buyers were very apathetic, especially on ewes. The market • ■ easier all-round. Prime wethers made 30s to 3-1 s. extra to 395. medium 8/s to 09, ed! others down to 255, prune enes 94s to 28s 6d, extra to 33s medium 21s to 23s 6d, older and inferior 18s
to 20s 6d. Lambs—Another fairly large entry, including several West Coast consignments. The market was very firm all round and freezing buyers were keen, the average overall price being in our opinion. 101 d. Graziers were operating keenly on all light and unfinished lambs.
