TIMARU SENTENCES
TIMARU. February 5. Ar the Supreme Court, the following prisoners wore sentenced:--William Rev Bennett, postal clerk, for theft ot £SO from the poet office at Geraldine, two years probation. Arthur Stave, labourer, forgery and uttering at Temuka. twelve months imprisonment. Robert Bertram Penny, breaking, entering and theft of 14- at Waimate. twelve months' probation. farmer, shoots himself. DUNEDIN, February 5. The Snpt. of Police has received word from Owalca that John Foisytli, a farmei. aged 54. died at Katea this morning as the result of a bullet wound, selfinflicted on Saturday.
