LATE LOCALS.

Next Wednesday afternoon has been set aside by the local Swimming Club for the purpose of allowing the school children of the M estland district to swim the respective distances, enabling them to receive the handsome diplomas issued by tho S. Swimming Association. These certificates are issued to any child who can swim 50 yards or over, the actual distance swam I icing written on the certificates by those authorised to carry this work out. There will not he any charge for admission to the baths, and the parents and general public are cordially invited to be present. Those intending to try for the certificates are expected to hand their names to the Secretary (Afr A. H. Lawn) or to the caretaker of the baths as early as possible.
