GISBORNE TRAGEDY.

It is reported from Maiawni that Scott appeared in the township between -I and 5 o'clock yesterday and asked his way to the nearest police station. At 5.15 he arrived at a settler's farm, IV miles on the -Motn side of Matawni and asked what he should do in get into touch with the police station. He refused to leave and said he wished to give himself up. The settler communicated with Mntnwai whence the information was communicated to the police.
