THE CONCLUDING DAY. The Westland A. and P. Association were, under the circumstances, lucky in being able to conclude their Show yesterday afternoon in fine weather. I l ere was heavy rain during the previous night and the morning "as showery, but the day, from 11 o'clock was fine, until about 7 o'clock, when a heavy shower fell. The attendance at thr racecourse for I’copies'" Day was satisfactory though there were not the usual number of outside visitors, the unpromising conditions of the early morning probably being responsible for this shortage. The awards not completed the previous day were made, and the various sporting events were run off during the afternoon. The Town Band was present, and played a musical programme. The various ' .'beers of the Association,. including the President (Mr D. Jellie). Vice-President (Mr \Y A. Jamieson) Secretary (Mr J. Jarman) and assistant-secreiaiy (Mr A. G. i’ilkingtoii) together with the various cij.-v stewards gave attentive attention to their duties and helped to make ihe whole Show run smoothly, 'the various judges ol awards, mentioned yesterday, carried out their duies in a manlier that gave general satsifaction, while lln- sports programme yesterday Mas curried out under the supervision of Messrs F. McGregor, H. Rutland, t| A. Thompson, R. Whiley, and E. C Toohey. The luncheon and tea moms were capitally conducted under i lie management of Mis 0. Fowler, and leeoived substantial support throughout both days. ADDITION A L A WARDS. The following awards were made yesterday : HORSES.
