At- a com mil tec meeting of ‘be Hokitika- Swimming (Inf. held "a Tuesday evening last, the Secretary. (Air A. 11. Lawn), submitted a report of the Cub’s finances, which were considered satisfactory considering the ehangeabe weather experienced since the opening of the swimming season. It was decided to hold a night carnival on .Monday the 11th. February, the date being a suitable one. enabling the Guy-mouth swimmers to compete, anil for’the Hokitika competitors to journey Greymoiith the following Wednesday. this being the date of the swim tiling sports at t obdeu. the needs being in aid of the Bath Fund in G lev tnou tin Next Wednesday afternoon has been declared a free one at the local baths, when the scc.ool club - len of the district ate to swam for the school certificates. All competitors are to hand their names in to the Seerotary as soon as possible. The general public are especially invited to the baths on the alterimon of tho Oth. Feh. The Committee approved of the Club’s caretaker's action in expelling ft youth from the bath enclosure tor riotous conduct.
