APPRECIATION.
The West Coast Lawn Tennis Association’s tournament recently concluded was in every way a complete success.
On behalf of the players I desire through the columns of your paper to express thanks to the President, Dr Teichelninnn. not only for bis unfailing courtesy, lint also to his generous entertainment of the visitors; Messrs Ogg and Irvine for their untiring efforts, both before and during the tournament: to Mr Morris for his invaluable assistance, not only with finances, hut also with organising the tournament; to the ladies of both Clubs for their liberal response with refreshments throughout ; to the visiting players for their willingness at all times to assist with umpiring and their readiness to play when called out; to the Press for their full reports of the proceedings from clay to day. and to Messrs Renton and Co., Mr Gooch, and the Presbyterian Church Committee for the loan of materials.
