The ordinary slow train coming to New Plymouth ran into n motor truck iu charge of a young man, Openshaw, whose sister, Nurse Isabel, was with him. The latter was killed and the former escaped with slight injuries. The truck was smashed to pieces. The accident is inexplicable, because the train when approaching either way. is in full view at the spot.

CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 22. The Knox Presbyterian Church which has been without a Minister for over n year, since the retirement of Doctor Erwin, has decided to extend a call to Doctor .T. A. Seymour, of the CluJmcrs Church, Adelaide, who has preached at He Knox Church for the last two Sundays.
