AIUHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
Messrs V . .Jelllies and Co. report: '.l I lie above Yards yesterday an entry ol 1 10 head of lat cattle and 60 sheep wi-n- ollcrcd to public competition. lln uUoinlanee ol buyers was fair and all well finished cattle equalled last sale prices. No heavy lines were entered, the entry comprising medium weight "X and a fair number of cows and hoifeis. Ox beef made front 30 sto 35s per bundled, lighter weights 28s to 31s Oil. Extra prime heifers 28s to 30s, cows lrom 18s to 26.5. The following sales were recorded:On account C. Donovan, 2 bullocks, at £ll ss, -1 at £lO 7s 6d, 2 at £lO. 2 at £9 17s (id, 2 at £!> 10s. 2 at £9 7s (id, 2 at £9 ss, 2 at CS 17s (id, 1 steer at £S, 3 at £7 17s Od 3at £8 7s 6d. On account of O’Neill Bros, 3 heifers at £9, 4 at £8 17s Od. 2 at. £8 7s od, 3 at £7 15s, 2 at £B, 2 ai £7 10s. 2 cows at £7 2s od, 2 at £6 10s, 2 at £6. 2 at £5 7s Oil’, 2 at £•-> 10s. 2 at £5 ss. On account J. Green, 1 cow at £7, 1 at £4 10s. On account- J. Muir, 7 dry cows at £3 11, filly fat wethers at- 37,s Oil.
Messrs M. Houston and Co., report -A( the above sale yesterday. our entry comprised 44 head of fat cuttle. There was a good attendance of buyers, t' yarding being cleared at prices much on a par with those of the previous sale. Ox beef realised from 30s to 32a Od. and prime heifer beef to •‘lds per hundred. The yarding all round was of excellent ipiality. We sold on account of Messrs I<\ (!. Williams and Isons. 3 bullocks at £9 12s Od, 3 at £lO 7s Od, 1 at £lO 7s fid, 3 at £lO 10a, 2 at £lO 7„ fid, 2 at £ll.’ 3 at £ll do.
