BOWLING.
The newly formed Rnnanga Bowling Club sent down live rinks on Saturday to play Hokitika. The afternoon was |>oriYwt and the green was in good order. Prior lo play Mr AYm. Wilson (President of the Hokitika Club) expressed the pleasure members felt in welcoming the Runanga team to the green. He felt that the game about to be played would be the torerunner of many interesting contests in years to come. He wished the new Club every .success find trusted that the game would he an enjoyable one. He also welcomed to the green a

Currie (President ol the R,manga Club) thanked the President for the hearty welcome given, and expressed the appreciation of members, for tbe goodwill expressed. It A. Perry, assisted by other lads members. A very dainty repast was done ful' justice to. The game ended in a win for Hokitika by -I rinks out of five, and a total of 13, to 92. At the conclusion Mr Wilson expressed the pleasure felt at having the visitors with them and called lot cheers which were heartily given. Air Currie again returned thanks specially appreciating the generous hospitality of the ladies which they all deeply appreciated. At his call cheers were given for the ladies and the Hokitika Club, and a very enjoyable afternoon concluded. The details of the play were
