A reminder is given that entries for tand P. Show next week are due with the Secretary to-morrow. Any delay in receipt of entries causes extra work In the officials and in the printing of catalogues. Canterbury breeders arc determined to do their share towards the success of the function for already some thirty entries of cattle have been received and correspondence indicates that there are others yet to come in. This speaks volumes for those who arc prepared to come so far despite the handicap of a long train ioiirncy, and the tact that they aio all more or less busy harvesting. While site'll a variety cannot he expected locally, it is due from the local population that a special effort he made to make the Show genet ally a success. Such a show is one of best opportunities of indicating to all and sundry the potentialities of the Coast. A two davs’ Show is being held this vear and the Committee have in their comprehensive schedule catered for all. The ladies in particular have every opportunity of their talents and abilities in the home sections. The prize and trophy list is r\ trend one and while all cannot win a. prize it should be sufficient satisfaction to iobi in the exhibits of appetising and tempting goods for which the Coast is famed.
