Entries for the Exhibition Flower Show, which takes filace next Wednesday and Thursday in the Soldiers’ Hall, close with the Secretary at the County Council office to-morrow (Saturday) night. The Secretary will bo in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m. to receive entries. A great deal of interest is being created in this flower show, it being the first held for many years. The entry is expected to be a large one. and are expected from as far as Christchurch, while exhibits are promised Irom Grcymoutb, Kuinaia, Boss and Rnnanga. Keen competition is expected for the three gold medals offered by the Exhibition Executive. In the cooking classes a large entry is expected. The gold medal and the liberal prize list should be the means of making a splendid exhibit, and one of the outstanding features of the show. The committee invite those who, while not competing, and have good specimens, to stage them for exhibition only. Space will be provided free Expert judges have been appointed.
