(By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian). WELLINGTON, January 17. The N.Z. Loan and Mcneantile reports that the third Wellington sale opened on Tuesday and concluded on Wednesday. Thirty-two thousand bales were offered by various brokers and ninety-live per cent were sold. Buyers representing practically all the manufacturing countries were in full attendance and competition was well spread. America was a keen purchaser for suitaide lots, lint the bulk of the offering was purchased hy Bradford. Merinos were in very keen demand and brought record prices. Half-bred Rotnnev and low quality wools met with vorv good competition and were a penny to twopence dearer than last Wellington sales. Pieces and oddments sold at the same advance. Lambs were in exceptional demand, France securing tin "hulk of the ottering and clips reclassed bv us in store were well competed for and sold at prices amply justifying the cost of preparation. Our hined wool comprising small clips, odd hales, mixed hales and hags, carefully graded into their respective qualities m»t with a remarkable reception from buyers and tile prices realised were highly satisfactory, this proving tho proper method of disposing of smaU di.s and oddments.
