ID Boyd, (-• 11. Blank, and A. ID Benjamin. The minutes of the last un-ting were confirmed. The Secretary reported that owing to an absence ot outside players, the proposed Hxhijtii.ion tournament had been allowed to lapse.— Action approved. The Secretary reported that the Rutianga Club had intimated a desire to meet members on the local green on Saturday next, and that he had extended a heart.v invitation to the northern Club. The action was approved. and it was resolved to make the tea day a general one, it being left to the Secretary and President to arrange, play to start at 2 o clock and mixed teams to he selected on fluground, all players being requested to he in at tendance promptly at the hour stated.
It was resolved that entries for the Singles Championship close on Wednesday, ,1 an. 23n1. Entry one shilling. The Secretary was instructed to replv to an enquiry in connection with Club debentures.
It was resolved on the motion of Mes.-rs Blank and .f. Wilson that the Treasurer post- in the pavilion on Wednesday. Jau. 23rd, a list of playing members, and that as subscriptions are paid, that word lie marked up against the name. In connection with the West Coast Bowling tournament at Croymouth. a general discussion ioilowed on the course to be followed, it, was resolved that eight members bo selected to officially represent the Club, leaving it to other members to form such rinks as they desired. After discussion Mr Bruce moved that eight players mentioned be selected.-—Seconded hv Air ,1. Wilson. An amendment by AllStevenson, seconded by Air Benjamin, that the Selection Committee (Afessrs .1. 11. Wilson, 11. A. Thompson and D-. Aldridge) make the selection, was lost by 3 to b. and the motion was then agreed to. On the motion of the President, seconded by Air Blank, Ales'rs Stevenson and Benjamin were selected as skips and to arrange the two rinks. . After discussion on a number of minor matters tile meeting terminated. Subsequently the two skips met and selected the following two rinks: — .Messrs Aldridge, W. Wilson. -T. Bain. D. Stevenson <A. i Alo.-si-s CD 11. Blank. A. ID King, H. A. Thompson and A. ID Benjamin (s). The latter team is exactly the same ns won the rinks championship last year at Westport, and now hold the Usher Cup. HI XKS cri A ALIM OX, SHIP. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 16. The Dominion Bowling Championships were continued to-day. but owing to showery weather play did not commence till noon. The greens were somewhat heavy at the beginning, but improved in the afternoon under a drying wind. Two more rounds in the Rinks Championship were played, and three will he played to-morrow.
