Mr Wright, who lias just returned from that region, states that he found tlie accommodation over-taxed while there. Of course it was holiday season and races, hotli at Greymoutli and Hokitika, had attracted a good number of people. The popularity of ilavisit to Franz Josef was increasing, of that there was no doubt. The building had been added to largely during the. past three years, a new wing had been built, but even that was not enough for the large number of visitors, and while lie had been there several people had had to he sent away.
