(Emm Our Correspondent). The Ross Sports took place on *>aturday. Jn the early morning the weather looked ihoratening and it- was hop. 1 it would improve as the day went on, Inti it gradually grew worse, anil it rained heavily practically the whole attcnioon. The principal events on the programme were aI! got ull and some good finishes were recorded. The morning train brought along a large number of visitors, including many pioneers who had braved the elements to pay a visit to Ross. The pioneers were specially catered for on the ground, a. special committee being set apart to attend to their requirements. The Committee also provided free conveyance for them between the station and the town and vice versa. Although it was such a boisterous day the old people made the best of it. and they appeared to be unanimous in staling they had thoroughly enjoyed »b«m»elves. The following are tho re-
