Matson and Co., report as iollows regarding tiieir stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep. —A small yarding, mostly comprised < i wethers with a bigger proportion of lambs. In the face of the continued dry weather the sale was good, although a good deal below last week’s prices. Any good forward u'etheix or Jambs or any fresh young sheep liter, with a good demand. Several lots of Chatham Island sheep were yarded. Ihe best rape lambs made 20s to 235. others Ids to IPs, inferior Ids Id lo Ids Gd, culls 7.s to Ids, forward wethers 23s to* 25» 82, others 18s to 22s Id. Not many ewes were offering, but fairly decent half bred, two tooth owes made tip to .'ids. failing mouth ditto 10f. Gd to lls Gd. The weather still continues very dry and unless we get rair. soon the market must collar.'©. Store Cattle.—A very small yarding and mostly of nondescript lots, l'meth-ally no steels were offered and the demand was very dull. 2yrs. heifers made lon to 60s. yearling heifers 25s to GO-, licitets in calf !0s to 555. COW:, 18s to 15s. Ih-ef -A much smaller entry. the quality on tho whole being better than on some time. The market generally ■showed a decided improvement, especially fur good quality steers which shower! an advance of GO’ to -JOs per head.
