\ further large crowd arrived bv the train at 2.15 p.m.. which connected with the tlnough train from 1 uaugahua Junction. bringing the WestIcu t district excursion, which stays lure until Friday. We regret to lecord the death of Bertha., the wife of Mr T. 8. Williams cf the Criterion Hotel. Millerton. which i.place last night at 9.15 o'clock, a del a long illness from diabetes. Thv , eased was the eldest daughter of All's J. Foote of Gibson Quay and 43 years , f age. She was a sister of Airs F. Andrews Airs E. Appleton, and AH J. Johnson of Hokitika. A husband and one son are also left to mourn tfcur loss.
