At tie- Princess Theatre to-night -it ' <» clock sharp tin* Gre.ymouUi Amateurs will present the amusing comedy '‘The Toreador.” The theme of ” I'lie Toreador” lends itself to th« picturesque and spectacular. The scene is laid in the south of France, and there- is a very strong element if comedy which leads to absurd r’i-j maxes. Nothin;; that, savours of .Spain would lie complete without a flavouring of romance, and this is deftlv interwoven. The mounting and drosses are on a gorgeous scale, whilst the lighting elfoolx add much to th * fine- general effect. Tin- presentation hy the visitors is highly spoken of and a largo attendance is assured. Rations are requested to he in their seats promptly at- 7.T0 o’clock, when the curtain will fisp.

fredo, Spanish clown, and trained dogs from Cuba and Havanna; Mimi 'Wharton and Louie; Carmello Duo, jugglers extraordinary; Alfred Clark, England’s greatest rider: Evans and Perez, the equilibrists without qual. These are a few if the now artists who will make their first appearance in New Zealand together with the rest of the Company. Then there are the Flying Lloyds; Miss Eugenie Pearl, a lady trick rider who will entrance all; Mimi. the wonderful strong girl, whose feats with a partner much heavier than herself, must he seen to 1)0 believed; and the Mighty Muldoon. Tu addition, there are a number of new animal acts, including a performance ot military drill hy a sextette of Australian bred Aral* horses under the direction of Mr John AVelhy Cooke.
