Tito Home Secretary has received from Dearnley. whose execution is fixed iu Winchester Gaol to-morrow, fresh information regarding the circumstances of tile murder of Ellis. Consequently the execution has been postponed. Thirty thousand people have signed a reprieve petition, based on Dearnley’s age, but until new information is forthcoming, the Home Secretary has declined to interfere.
