It re-ally was my intention to report sooner the breaking up of the school for tlie summer vacation, which took place on December the J!Jth. of last year, but noticing that your paper has been so full of news 1 thought it hotter to wait for a more opportune time. However. I. think my time has arrived when 1 can ventilate my feeling-; in reference to the schools’ annual break-up for the vacation, c" here we go. Mi-- A. !'. Mr Steele, Chairman of tin School Committee was then callid on by tile teacher to carry out the rooer-c-dings. the Chairman in his opening rein ink- thanked Miss Schwebo for hei kllidlv references and with kindly advice to each scholar, referred to the presence of an old pioneer in the person of Mr 0. IFnuhan who for many years pa.-t had been an active mendjet if the S-.-hool Commitu-e. Mr Rouihau suitable responded. .Mr \Y. Ilouthan. a member of the- Committee, responded on behalf of his father. Prizes wore then handed mound to each of the scholars in their respective < hisses, amidst applause.
