CORRESPONDENCE.

TIPS FOR TOURISTS. (To the Editor). Sir, —Gtad ns we arc to welcome -.,j many coiner, to the Coitst these holidays, could we gently point out that even in these semi-barbarous regions, there are some points to be observed—especially hy travellers by ear, eyelet or aeroplane. 1. —Cars might he requested to note that our roads, though good, are not the widest, lienee it is well to allow at least- 3 feet for another ear or cart to pass easily, as the going i- not good in the swamp alongside nor down the hill. Again, rushing on to narrow bridges already being crossed by another vehicle, leads sometimes to disaster. 2. —With reference to the above-men-tioned narrow bridges, cyclists ocua.l perhaps he. persuaded lo leave their well-loaded machines off ike ' bridges, and not against the railing-. These will indeed usually support the cycles, but again it is awkward for vehicles l-> pass, and horses sometimes shy. 3. The one and only aeroplane, which is giving so many of us ihc nev. “aeroplane neck” could perhaps iftrain from disturbing the quiet of •Tunday evening services by hovering overhead. Small though these point* are. their observance will tend to better feeling between tourist* and residents. 1 hanking you Sir. I am etc,. TR A V i'11.1.1'.!!. [
