A SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION

SECOND DAY RESULTS. The Club lvns favoured again with lino weather lor the second day of the Exhibition Summer Meeting. There was a good attendance though considerably »less than the record of the previous day. The course was in good order and the meeting concluded very successfully, the only mishap being that Falstaff broke his leg when run-, ning in the final race of the day. The ollieials wore all again attentive to their duties and nothing occurred to mar the success of the pleasant attcrlioon. Speculation was again lairly brisk and Mr 11. Lynch ami his staff handled the sum of £lo.Got* for the day, making a total of £21,828 for the two days as against £7250 on the second day and £18,,d0 lor the same days last year. The .Municipal Hand was again in attendance and played a capital programme. The various booths appeared to he doing a good business and the tea rooms, presided over by Mrs A. Parkhill and staff gave patrons prompt attention to their requirements.
