The wedding took place on Vi ednesdav morning at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, of -Miss Violet Cox, third daughter of Captain and Mrs Cox, Murray Street, to Mr Martin Fowler, formerly on the teaching si alf of the Grey-mouth Technical HLdi School, and now of Palmerston North. Miss Jean Cox, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Mr George Kearns carried out the duties of best man. Rev Swanston Reed officiated. The engine- on the train from Hokitika to Greyniout’n yesterday morning developed a defect on route, and as n result- the train did not reach Greymouth until 10.55 a.m., 40 minutes behind schedule time. A defect in the bicycle she was riding yesterday morning caused ail accident which had serious consequences for Airs C’edrie Batty, of Cohden, a
daughter of Air and Airs J. AlcKiiight, Cowper Street!
