WEDDING BELLS

lIAYfLI SMITH. An interesting wedding took place on Wednesday afternoon at All Saints’ Church. Hokitika, when May, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs J. Smith, Tauranga. was married to "Wilfred, eldest son of All and Airs ,1. Ilavill, Arahura, the Rev. I’urelins officiating. The bride, who entered the Church on to arm of her uncle, Alt' J. Burke, of f.inwood, Christchurch, wore a beautiful gown of white orepe-de-chine, draped on left side, and caught with a spray of orange blossoms. Her pretty embroidered veil was held in position by a circlet of mange blossoms, and she carried an exquisite sheaf of lilies (fctl with satin streamers. She was attended by Miss Bessie Harill. who looked charming tti a I rock ot primrose murrain satin, and lace, with a silver and blue hat, and a pretty bouquet of yellow emulations and blue streamers. Air Jack Burke, cousin ol the bride, attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a largo gn’ boring of relatives and friends were onteri ainetl at the residence of Air and Mrs J. Hnvill. where a sumptuous repast was partaken of. and the usual toast! honoured, bur travelling the bride wore a smart navy tailored costume. and lmt of cire ribbon. The happy couple were the recipients ol eluding a number o! cheques, aiso main congratulatory telegram'-, especially from Tauranga. where the bride recent I v resided. The happy couple will in future reside ill Koiternngi. where the bridegroom is following farming pursuits.
