HOKITIKA RACES.
The Exhibition meeting of the Westland Racing Club will take place on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. It promises to he a record meeting. The acceptances constitute a record. About seventy horses will be competing at the meeting. All the events have filled well and the spotting public may look for an interesting time. The usual complete. arrangements have been made fm the nice meeting by the Club, rations will find the course and appointments in excellent order. The Caretaker has the galloping track in prime condition, the course in lact, being a pin tire. All the usual facilities w ill be provided fur tbe visiting public, and tin meeting is sure to be attended by a large concourse ot people. ihe Haiiu ay Department has nin.de sp uin', arrangements for the increased traffic. Special trains at excursion faros will run from all parts of the Coast. Thar;- will be four trains each vin from and to-Creymouth including a forenoon express due here at 11.15 ni ! .i return express at 0.15. A miitda .• train leaves Groymouth also, which will enable visitors to arrive in time fur the Cup race. There will be also
