Aii intonating discovery was recently made Itv .Mr Robieson, of tlio Tourist De|ifiriment, Dunedin (reports the "Evening Star"). When on a visit to Hooper’s Inlet, Air Robieson unearthed ;t number of ancient Maori relics, which are believed to be associated with the early moa hunters. Underneath a stratum containing the leg bones of one of the smaller species of moa, Mr Robieson found a greenstone adze. The relics evidently were the remains of an ancient Afaori camp. About thirty years ago the late Augustus Hamilton, working with Afr (now Sir Frederick) Chapman, at the mouth of the Shag River, unearthed a piece of polished greenstone in similar circumstances. This find lias since been confirmed by -Mr David Teviotdafe. Afr Robieson’s find further confirms these earlier discoveries, and proves that the ancient moa-hunters were in touch with the remote localities in which greenstone is found. gAVE money by making your own Cough and Cold Remedy with “HEENZO.” Fine for the kiddies, S 1 1
