At a quarterly meeting of the Christchurch Licensing Committee, the Chairman (Mr AViddowson S.M.), referred to the convictions which lmd been obtained against certain hotels. The Committee hoped the police would take the matter of Sunday Trading actively in hand, and see that every breach of the Licensing Act was taken notice of, and, if necessary, brought before the Court.
