The correspoiuleiiee lias been publishtd between tho New /ealaml Lawn Tennis Association and the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association regarding the visit of tTTc New South Wales tram. The liinil letters from Auckland cxptew rcgtel at the decision to cancel the Auckland match in view of Auckland's oiler to give the New /ealaml Association the lull proceeds of the match. It was urged by Auckland that the request for 40 per cent, of the gate meant a certain loss, while the New Zealand Association would make a profit on this and other matches. At tl’.e meeting of the Auckland Association the president said that the worst, feature of the matter was that the visiting team would he out for the host tennis it could get, and would not he interested in the failure ol local associations mil the New Zealand Association coming to terms.
