The stand itsell on which the exhibit will he displayed, will he one of the most ornate at the Exhibition. .Miiddion Bros. Lid., of Christchurch will set op a very interesting exhibit of twine, ropes, lines. and baiters, manufatiiivd from their llaxmil!-. A similar industry might well be established in Westland where tlax grows so profusely. Samples ol local flax will he shown in the Westland Court.
A verv notable exhibit will be that of Aulsobrnok and Coy. situated in Arthur's Ibis-* Avenue. A large ornamental stand lias been erected, and provision is being made lor a groat display of the confections lor which the well-known firm is turnons.
Returned soldiers will have several stands, including visitors from Christchurch, Auckland and Wanganui. Leather work, basket/ ware cfe. will he shown and on sale, while an exhibition of artificial limbs etc. manufactured by the soldiers in Christchurch hospital will bo shown also. These exhibits will have space in tin* (Jorge avenue, where Westland f I imbor Products will he on view.
The Bristol Piano Coy. has acquired a large area of spare in the main annexe, and will make a special display, which will he attended to hy representatives of the well-known firm, who will he on dutv all through the Exhibition. A sight-testing study has l>een erected hv Messrs Barry ’and .Sargennl. opticians of Wellington, who will he established in the Greymouth avenue. Norton’s, of Lyttelton, will lie another exhibit of special interest in the Exhibition. The Ministerial party coming to the Coast, in addition to visiting the Exhibition. will motor also to the A\ ailio (.’lacier. The Secretary of the Exhibition has been asked to make transport arrangements etc. The “Guardian” will issue a special supplement relating to the Exhibition and the occasion, on the opening day of the great event —-the most important in the history ol Westland—and one which marks a new epoch iti Coast history.
